Please read all directions before beginning project.
Size: Ear warmer is approximately 5” in height and approximately 18” in circumference at top, and approximately 18 1/2” in circumference at bottom. Lots of stretch ability, it will stretch several inches to fit most teen girls and adult women comfortably. If you need a different circumference, simply add or subtract beginning chain number and adjust stitches accordingly.
Materials List:
-Super Bulky Weight (size 6) yarn , 1 skein…Pictures are shown using Lion Brand Yarns Hometown USA in St Paul Sky (81 yards per skein)
–US L/11/8.00 mm crochet hook…check gauge…feel free to change hook size to get the correct gauge.
–Tapestry Needle (for weaving in ends)
Gauge:
The gauge is approximately 9 sc X 8 rows = 4 in x 4 in
Notes:
-Make sure you are joining directly into the top of ch 2 at the end of each round. You will have 2 strands above hook and 1 below. Do NOT join into the gap between the ch 2 and the next sc. Joining into the gap will create a hole.
-ch=chain, sc= single crochet, bl= back loop, fl= front loop, sl st= slip stitch, st(s)= stitch(es)
-Count your stitches after each round to be sure you do not miss a stitch
-ch 2 does NOT count as first sc
-R1 is Right Side, use top loop when sc into ch (there will be one loop above hook and two loops below).
